Pretty girls have been calendar subjects since around 1900. The "Pin Up" is apparently one of the more pleasant by products of World War II. Wherever GI's went they would "Pin Up" reminders of their girls back home.
This is an image by the famous Pin Up artist Gil Elvgrin. Elvgrin was a Minnesota native and produced many glorious Pin Up renditions including many for Playboy. Only 50 of these lighters have been produced and there will be no more made. This sexy Pin Up Zippo would enhance any collection or make a collectible gift.
